Production Manager (Kitchen Manufacturing)

Our client is a leading kitchen specialist fit out manufacturer who produces high end bespoke kitchens. Due to upcoming extension plans they are looking for an experienced production manager to join their senior management team. 

You will be responsible for the detailed planning and overall organisation of manufacturing in the workshop to achieve all output targets in terms of quantity, quality, unit costs and project requirements.

This is a fast paced and dynamic environment; you must be both commercially and solutions focused with an ability to adapt and prioritise a complex workload.

Main Job Tasks and Responsibilities

    • Supervision of the workshop staff
    • Ensure approved information is issued to production in a timely manner to meet required delivery dates
    • Provide updates daily to clients via email and phone
    • Meet weekly with the managing director to go through manufacturing progress
    • Check procurement schedules for errors and completeness prior to handover and troubleshoot any procurement issues whilst jobs are in manufacture
    • Determine labour resources required within the factory
    • Continually develop & review standard operating procedures for production operations
    • Work with floor team leader to ensure flow of information and understanding is cohesive and quality standards are met
    • implement and enforce quality control and tracking programs to meet quality objectives
    • Analyse production and quality control to detect and correct problems
    • Determine and implement improvements to the production process
    • Manage production budgets against tendered budgets
    • Ensure efficient collaboration and co-ordination between relevant departments including procurement, distribution, installation, and management
    • Assist with transport and logistics of goods in and out 






Education and Experience

  • 5+ year’s knowledge and experience in production and manufacturing processes and techniques
  • 5+ year’s knowledge & experience of quality systems and standards
  • 5+ year’s knowledge & experience of health and safety standards and compliance
  • 5+ year’s knowledge & experience of business, finance, and management principles
  • 5+ year’s knowledge & experience of human resource principles and practices
  • Solid computer skills
