Focus on the major spends in the company (the top 20 items where 80% of the costs are being expended on)
Demonstrate cost savings on major spends
Build and maintain good relationships with new and existing suppliers;
Manage company internal purchasing system in line with company policy, ensuring all information is accurate and up to date
Provide all requested purchasing and supplier related reports including quarterly spend report, monthly KPI reports and other report information requested by senior management
Forecast price trends and their impact on future activities;
Train and supervise the work of other members of purchasing department
Carry out regular supplier assessment of existing suppliers.
Requirements
Qualifications in Procurement
Construction Background
At least 5 years’ experience in procurement.
Supplier strategy - demonstrate understanding of the process and previous successes.
